Since 1996, the winery has been run by Steffen Christmann in the 7th generation. In 2004, the Christmanns finally committed themselves to biodynamic cultivation. The goal is to produce wines that are a reflection of the vineyard, that taste like it and that could not be produced anywhere else in the world. In the harmony of vine, vineyard and winemaker, great wines of high individuality are created. The ideal conditions in the traditional Palatinate Mittelhaardt, warm enough for full-bodied wines and cool enough for elegance and a fine minerality, form the basis. Especially the great vineyards Idig, Meerspinne im Mandelgarten, Langenmorgen and Reiter-pfad-Hofstück produce great growths, which belong to the best of Germany again and again.
