Information

Teroldego from the Morei vineyard in Campo Rotaliano near Mezzolombardo, grown on 2.5 hectares of alluvial alluvium. The Morei site is protected from cold north winds by nearby, steep rock faces. The rock stores heat during the day, which radiates onto the vineyard at night. The soil here is very stony, therefore relatively warm, dense, dark, mineral, and just as the wine of the same name, the Morei Teroldego, is reflected. The wine was aged for eight months in Spanish cellar amphorae, so-called tinajas.

Color

slightly transparent garnet red to crimson red

Nose

From the pair of brothers Morei and Sgarzon is the Morei always the darker and also darker fruity wine, as the name already says. In the 2019 vintage, the wine already seems incredibly balanced in the bouquet. It reminds of juicy blackberries and elderberries, of some sloes and also of a little liquorice, as well as of mallows and of undergrowth warmed by the afternoon sun at the edge of the forest.

Palate

On the palate, the wine shows the precision and tension so typical of Foradori's amphora wines. The Morei has grip and has that Tinaja sandpaper texture combined with linear acidity and a mix of ripe but crisp dark fruit, tobacco, some yeast and underbrush. The wine just pulsates on the finish, so lively and mineral it is.
