Color
The wine shows itself in a strong garnet red with a purple core clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
At first sight, this wine of origin seems a bit abrupt and is driven by dark spices. Dark notes of black cherries, cranberries and plum jam go hand in hand with the smoky spiciness of a juniper ham.
Peaty, grounded and stirred up by sympathetic rough-legged animalism, a very self-confident wine comes along and tells of the hilly landscape of its homeland.
Palate
Authoritative and with the tannic acid of fresh cranberries, Montenidoli's 2018 Toscana Rosso paves its way. Dark berry and with spice reminiscent of allspice, it is a wonderfully rustic middleweight with a tannic structure that is not for velvet wine drinkers. This macho wine needs to be countered with hearty food or a good game of cards.

- Roasted calf's heart with chanterelles and lamb's lettuce
