Out of stock

The 2018 Mirgin Rosé Reserva Brut Nature from Alta Alela seems to shimmer with delicate fruit on the nose. Red currants take the lead, followed willingly by youthfully impetuous reindeer cloves, a sweep of fresh rhubarb and stewed apples in the finish. The bone-dry Cava is the pure essence of Monastrell and thus an authentic artefact of its origin.

Alta Allela is the closest winery to Barcelona, in the middle of the Serralada de Marina Natural Park with an unobstructed view of the nearby Mediterranean Sea. It is owned by the Pujol-Busquets Guilléns family and farmed according to biodynamic principles. Alta Allela produce both still and show wines, the Mirgin is a cava from 100% Mataró with up to 30 months of yeast ageing. Grown on sandy granite soils at an altitude of 150-300m above sea level, it was harvested by hand and fermented with their own yeasts in steel tanks. The bone-dry Cava is the pure essence of Monastrell and thus an authentic artefact of its origin.

Color

Strong rosé with copper reflections.

Nose

The 2018 Mirgin Rosé Reserva Brut Nature from Alta Alela seems to shimmer with delicate fruit on the nose. Red currants take the lead, followed willingly by youthfully impetuous reindeer cloves, a sweep of fresh rhubarb and stewed apples in the finish. In addition there is freshly baked yeast plait a little vanilla in the top note. A red-fruity fragrant refresher without dominant autolysis notes with a high fun factor.

Mouth

The fine bubbly mousseux on the nose fires up the aromas with its small-part pearl play that makes it glitter like stardust. The bell-clear red fruit is complemented by citrus notes and tart underpinnings of sage as well as its fine-grained, almost polished tannin. On the palate, it fans out into its spectral fruits, displaying the full range of flavors against a structurally substantial backdrop. A fine, contemporary artefact of Spanish sparkling wine culture with a rapid drinking flow.
