Color

Light lemon yellow with silver tapered rim.

Nose

Celler_Credo's 2017 Miranius is named after the farm's own fox, which feasts on the farm's ripe grapes with steady regularity. The nose of the cuvée of 86% Xarel-lo and 14% Macabeu lacks the obviously stolen fruit and shines more with the impression of wet stones and herbal spice than with expressive fruitiness. Wet stone, sea breeze, herbs and Mediterranean scrub are underpinned by peach skin, melon and mint in the top notes.

Mouth

With gripping grip and salty minerality, the Miranius gives a good insight into the possibilities of Xarel-lo and Macabeu away from Cava production. Taut with fine-grained tannin and well-integrated acidity, it offers fresh white wine pleasure with a cool feel and animating drinking flow. Herbaceous with fine phenolic and extremely low sipping resistance.
