light to medium straw yellow - The Les Chevalières is a Meursault Village with a lot of energy and an already impressive complexity that quickly fans out in the glass. Wine information

Rémi Jobards Meursault »Les Chevalières" comes from the Village vineyard of the same name in the north of the Meursault district. Jobard owns a 0.44 hectare parcel with vines more than 70 years old in the 8.78 hectare vineyard at 300 meters above sea level in southeast exposure. The site is characterized by a very stony and very poor limestone soil with a low humus layer.

The Meursault »Les Chevalières" is vinified at Rémi Jobard with the same precision as all his wines. This also means that after spontaneous fermentation, the wine sits on its lees for almost two years, about 50 % each in Stockinger barrels and tonneaux.

Nose

The Les Chevalières is a Meursault Village With lots of energy and an already impressive complexity that quickly fans out in the glass. The Village smells of mountain mint, ripe Meyer lemons and Reineclauden, accompanied by crushed stone, other meadow herbs and a very light note of hazelnuts and walnuts.

Palate

On the palate the Meursault an impressive tension and precision. The herbs, the mint and the light yellow to ripe green fruit, which was already present in the bouquet, is complemented here by a few juicy notes of pineapple and apricot, but above all by a silky creamy texture. The acidity creates a great tension and the wine almost vibrates. Thereby the Les Chevalières Crystal clear and fresh and yet already complex and deep in a very pleasant way. One can drink it now already with pleasure, because it is already so beautifully open, he has, however, of course still a lot of potential.
