Meinklang

The Meinklang winery, run by the Michlits family, stands for sustainable and biodynamic agriculture. In this multi-generational farm, grain, fruit, livestock and wine harmonise to create a natural circular economy in which animal manure serves as a soil conditioner and agricultural products feed the animals.

At Meinklang, we do not speak of vineyards, but of vineyards. These provide a habitat full of biodiversity, where wild herbs, grasses, fruits and vegetables thrive alongside beneficial insects and pests. The vines benefit from this natural diversity and competition.

A speciality of the winery are the Graupert wines. These are Pinot Gris and Zweigelt left to their own devices, resulting in a true natural wine.

Situated along Lake Neusiedl, Burgenland offers a variety of grape varieties, including classic Austrian ones such as Grüner Veltliner, Grauburgunder, Blaufränkisch and Sankt Laurent. On the Hungarian side of the winery, Hárslevelü and Juhfark are also grown.

The Burgenlandweiß and Burgenlandred wines from Meinklang are perfect for everyday: uncomplicated, exciting and with an excellent drinking flow. In addition, Meinklang also offers a Urkorn beer made from einkorn, spelt and emmer, which is appreciated for its complexity and richness of variety.
