Wine information
The Spätburgunder comes from the Maustal, a four-hectare vineyard south of Sulzfeld with a south and southeast orientation. The steep slope is characterized by meager and skeleton-rich upper shell limestone. The vines on this site are the oldest vines we have planted ourselves. As always, the grapes are harvested by hand, maceration in open fermenters, spontaneous fermentation, no chaptalization, aging in Burgundy barrels.

rich cherry-red
Nose
What a wonderfully ethereal scent lies over the glass of this Pinot Noir. Menthol and eucalyptus combine with finest wood and cloves as well as a juicy fresh fruit of sour cherries, red currants, barberries and pomegranate seeds. In addition, there is a light note of undergrowth and forest earth, which rounds off the complex mood.
Palate
This still so young Große Gewächs presents itself at first extremely fresh and juicy on the palate, before it goes with air more and more into the depth. What particularly inspires here is the clarity and precision typical for Luckert's wines. The tannin is ripe and fine, the acidity is powerful and lively, the wood is used in a serving way. On top of this lies the youthfully fresh fruit, which combines with a piquant spicy note. It is a very independent Pinot Noir, which already shows itself impressively balanced.
