Wine information

The Riesling comes from the vineyard Maustal, a four-hectare vineyard south of Sulzfeld am Main, facing south and southeast. The steep slope is characterized by meager and skeleton-rich upper shell limestone. The vines on this site are the oldest vines that we have planted ourselves. As always with the winery Zehnthof Luckert, the grapes are harvested by hand, rapped, allowed a slightly longer maceration period and fermented spontaneously. Luckert's wines are aged in classic double barrels made of Franconian oak.

Color

Nose

The Riesling Maustal It opens with a character of its own, determined by slightly yeasty notes, a little petrol, mustard seed, herbs and mushrooms, as well as a hint of celery and nuts, in which a little stone and earth mingle with air.

Palate

On the palate the Riesling Maustal Very juicy, aromatically bright with notes of yellow pears and apples, which seem partly fresh, partly candied. In addition, there are spicy notes of tobacco, nuts, licorice and even a little pepper. Overall, this is a melting, warm Riesling at rest in itself.
