Wine information
The wine comes from 0.46 hectares in the La Montagne vineyard. The climat is still above Les Longeroies and in parts already reaches into the forest, which provides cooling for the south-facing vineyard. After destemming, cool pre-fermentation and spontaneous fermentation, the wine is slowly aged on the fine lees for 16 months in 228-litre barriques with a new wood content of 20 to 30 %.
Color
dense garnet red
Nose
From the Marsannays works La Montagne most charming and open from the start. It smells of wild strawberries, raspberries, dark cherries and rose petals. There are also hints of cinnamon and fine wood, white pepper and iodine.
Palate
On the palate, the juiciness of the Pinot impresses, running smoothly over the palate with a discreet tannin. At the same time, the wine shows a wonderful acidity that is supple yet intense. Although still very young, this is a wine that, after a little air contact, is already a pleasure to drink and hard to resist.
