Info about the wine
The Cattaratto grapes come from 15 year old vines, grown on sandy loam, in western Sicily in the Trapani region.
Info about the expansion
The grapes were harvested by hand at the beginning of September, gently pressed, the clear must fermented with wild yeasts at controlled temperature and with minimal addition of sulphur for 7 months in stainless steel tanks, on its own yeast.
Color
Light golden yellow with pearly reflections.
Nose
The 2020 Lucido presents itself with very interesting aromatics. Distinct fennel, sage, liquorice and aniseed notes mingle with fruit notes reminiscent of pear, grapefruit and lime zest. The whole is rounded off by a striking stony minerality.
Palate
On the tongue, it is extremely refreshing, which is due to the fact that the citrus fruits of the nose are even more prominent here in combination with young pineapple and a stimulating acidity, a saline-like minerality and a fine tannic note. Stimulated by the salivation, one gets an appetite for an equally refreshing culinary accompaniment.
