Location and soil
Lagrein, Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and Syrah grown on the best red wine sites in Manincor and at Seehof, south-eastern slopes at 250 m above sea level with strong clay soils, interspersed with limestone gravel and other glacial rock deposits.
Expansion
La Rose de Manincor is the juice extract from the best batches of red wine each year. Thus, the varietal composition and character change a little each year. The juice was extracted after a 24-hour maceration period and the must fermented in wooden barrels, partly spontaneously with the grape's own yeasts, followed by a further five months of maturation in wooden barrels on the fine lees.
Color
Bright salmon pink.
Nose
On the nose, the 2020 La Rose de Manincor presents intense fruit.
Cherries, rhubarb, wild raspberries and rosehip rise charmingly and stimulatingly from the glass, conveying a delicate sweetness.
The fine spicy notes of green pepper and juniper and the vegetal hints of sage, thyme and chervil give it an extremely stimulating fragrance.
Palate
On the palate we encounter a complex and finely spicy rosé - juicy fruit combined with stimulating structure and fine tannin. The salty mineral reverberation makes it a sophisticated drop and excellent food companion.
