Nose
Vernatsch presents itself here in a cheerful, fruity variant. But a Kalterer See Vernatsch is supposed to deliver exactly this taste picture. Intensely fragrant of strawberry, raspberry, red currants and cherries. The fruit seems lactic, but not kitschy. Nevertheless, thoughts of cherry-cream sweets immediately come to mind. Rosehip, rowan berries and red fruit tea pull the same levers. Garden herbs and wet grass give it freshness. A light cinnamon spice adds another touch.
Palate
Then slender and fine on the palate. The fruit is juicy and lively. The fun factor is enormously high. A wine with drive and a lot of drinking flow. With a lot of astringency, it actively stimulates salivation. In the aftertaste, the fruit comes to the fore again and shows itself to be much more serious. Stony and racy on the finish. Many herbal aromas appear in the reverberation. Nettle, parsley, coriander and sage.
