Wine information
The Madurado 6 Meses is a pure Tempranillo. The fruit comes from Elvillar in the Rioja Alavesa. The vineyards there are located at 570 to 590 metres. The fruit comes from the Los Lagos and Planos Corrales vineyards. There you find clay soils with coral limestone and low water retention capacity. The 40-year-old vines are partly trained in trellis, partly in goblet training in the vineyard, i.e. as bush vines. After manual harvesting and sorting, the grapes were destemmed and fermented spontaneously at 23 to 26 °C for twelve days. The wine was aged for six months in used French wood.

Nose
The 6 Meses is a RiojaThe bouquet is as fresh as it is velvety, which is supported by a slight yeasty note. Violet flowers, blue and black berries, a little cinnamon, liquorice and star anise combine with slightly earthy notes and a hint of cherry liqueur far in the background.
Palate
On the palate, the wine combines a deep inner power with a pleasantly firm tannin and a fleshy fruit through which a lively acidity flows. Cherries, plums, blackberries and blueberries present themselves downright crisp here, and you get the feeling that they still have a few stalks and seeds left to chew on a little. This has bite, freshness and juiciness.
