The Domaine Flo Busch of Florian and Paola Busch is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon in the picturesque village of Montpeyroux. After studying oenology and working as cellar master at Domaine d'Auphillac, the two set up their own business in 2018. The vineyards are located in a green valley and are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics. The Lou Bragalou is made purely from 100% Grenache blanc.

Color

Silk matt golden yellow with an orange tinge.

Nose

The nose of the 2021 Lou Bragalou by Flo Busch alternates between dried fruit, Mediterranean maquis and high-quality tea. Dried apricots mingle with thyme, rosemary and camomile, plus the impression of long-drawn green tea with a touch of verbena and its citrus notes. Stimulatingly animating nose for genre novices.

Mouth

On the palate, the Lou Braglou is super juicy with a good melt and smack. The fruit is framed in grippy tannin, the acidity pulses gently in the background. Aromatically tart, it reminds one of sage and with its extra-sweet core again of dried fruit. Southern French powerhouse for the courageous kitchen.

Food recommendations from Sebastian Bordthäuser

  • Grilled mackerel with gooseberry chutney
