Color
In deep dark purple with violet rim and opaque core, the wine appears clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
The intense streaks at the edge of the glass, the pitch black core of the wine and the face of its density give a hint of it.
A brilliant performance that fervently and confidently passes by no one unimpressed, let alone unnoticed. Clear, precise perfume of wild cherry, pomegranate and red currant, from flower to fruit, from the crown of the tree to its root. Everything still a little locked away by the youth of this Carignan. That's why timely opening and best the carafe is recommended. After some time in the big glass, a cooling aroma of eucalyptus paired with green pepper, grilled peppers and salted capers develops and refreshes the earthy spice of roasted coffee and walnut shells.
Palate
In an enchanting way, the generous spice of the nose, bedded on velvety fruit, turns into straightforward juiciness with immense pressure on the palate. A tightly woven, slightly astringent yet not drying tannin framework gives Terroir al Limit's 2015 Les Tosses a powerful yet agile body. Supported by crisp yet harmoniously integrated acidity, this wine has power that it uses with great care.
It almost hurts how right each and every sip of this prime example of a Torroja del Priorat documentary feels.
But only almost.
