Wine information
The Le S des Poëte is a single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc from Guillaume Sorbe. The fruit comes from some plots he owns in Touraine. Together with the Pouilly-Fumé it is always the youngest wine of the winery and was aged for a little over a year mainly in tank and to a small extent in a used 600-litre barrel.
Color
strong straw-yellow colour with very light green reflexes
Nose
Guillaume Sorbes Le S des Poëte is a full-bodied, ripe wine with a thoroughly debauched bouquet that, in contrast to the Grand Vins more emphasis on fruit. The nose is reminiscent of ripe nectarines and vine plums, limes and lemons, gooseberries and some tomato leaf.
Palate
On the palate, it becomes incredibly juicy, with a lot of green and some yellow fruit, some smoke and a lot of salt. Above all, however, the Sauvignon Blanc seems ripe on the one hand, crisp and fresh on the other, crystal-clear, despite the sweet fruit core, crisply dry and minerally alive with a lot of energy. The Le S des Poëte is a picture-book Sauvignon Blanc from Touraine.
