Tasting note from from 10.05.2020, Copyright Peter Müller

The wine is bright gold with bronze reflections and oily texture clear and shiny in the glass.

The first nose already hints at the mouthwatering pleasure of the palate and proudly reveals the fine material of which this wine is made. Concentrated and bursting with variety, the aroma of the 2017 Le Petit by Manincor unfolds like opening flower stems leaning towards the sun. At the beautifully decorated market stall, all the dried fruits are on display. Mango, apricots and figs, as well as dates and apple rings with candied coconut. Further sweetness suggesting notes of Turkish honey and candy floss are refreshed by flavours of crisp rhubarb, tangerine zest and a flint-like spiciness.

Creamy filling the palate, the Petit does not live up to its name and comes out very big. When it comes to density without heaviness in the glass, this Petit Manseng wins all along the line. With an oily texture, this sublime wine lines the palate with silk wallpaper and stands up respectfully, equally and independently to its peers from the Jurançon. Density, richness and concentration crystalline dissolve into pleasure and are adorned with gold leaf. This 375ml bottle contains a lot of wine.
