Special features of the place
On the nine hectares of land, consisting of pebbly flint soils and wide green clay, the Chenin Blanc variety grows to perfection. The intense minerality and artful structure of the terroir, countered by a pleasant acidity, awaken uniqueness in this wine.
Color
The bright golden yellow impresses every observer.
Scent
The 2018 Vouvray Le Mont Demi Sec entices with its pronounced minerality, evoking associations of smoke, flint, limestone and salty sea breezes. In a prolonged breath, the fruity sweetness of candied apples, quince jelly and oranges begins to unfold, accompanied by a hint of iodine and a slight bitterness.
Taste
On the palate, it is charming, with a fine sweetness. The mineral notes of the aroma are more evident and create a pleasant stimulation. Underneath this taste are notes of fresh acidity and a hint of tannins. In the long finish, aromas of bitter orange jam and orange zest become apparent. A white wine full of excitement and potential that promises a breathtaking development in the coming years.
Recommended method of serving
Decant the wine before enjoying it and serve it not too chilled in large glasses.
