Color
Purple red with violet reflections and black core.
Nose
Noble elegance in the nose, closed and complex. To dissect it aromatically is difficult, too homogeneous it shows itself in the calyx. Dark fruits with pronounced acidity are at work, raspberries, cornell cherries and plums are conceivable. Light herbal notes, mild spices and wet stones mingle with the overall incredibly fresh impression it leaves.
Mouth
A cool crescendo of 100% Carignan from vines planted in 1913. Named after the parcel where it was grown on pure slate, the 2015 Las Trabasseres from Domaine Roc des Anges combines cool minerality with shimmering fruit and ultra-fine, ripe tannin that is reminiscent of a microfiber cloth in its structure. To try to describe it further would be tantamount to deconstruction. A compact, balanced equilibrium.
