Wine information
This Godello comes from the La Tarea parcel in the Val de Paxariñas near Cacabelos. The vineyard was planted in 1999 in Guyot rearing Burgundian dense on clay soils at an altitude of 600 metres. After hand harvesting, the grapes were destemmed, pressed and fermented in new and used 228 and 500 barrels, where they were aged on their lees for over twelve months. From time to time, the yeast was stirred.

The Godello La Tarea 2019 is a wine that is intense from the first moment, whose youth is evident in the still present wood note, which is complemented by lemons and limes, pineapple, star fruit and a little chamomile, ginger, some saffron, lemon cream and stone. All this comes across as powerful, dry, demanding and fresh.
Palate
This impression is confirmed on the palate, where the La Tarea Silkiness combined with pressure. It is a full, juicy wine that has both power and ripeness, but also a crystal-clear acidity and immense thrust. It is also a wonderfully juicy and lively acidity that characterises this Godello and gives it the basis to develop over the years and to further perfect the wood, which has now already integrated itself well. The texture of the wine seems elegant and noble, the aromatic palette of citrus, pineapple and some crunchy stone fruit and ginger is complex, very complete and balanced.
