Color:
The wine shows itself in bright copper clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose:
As the name of this cuvée of Lagrein, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon already suggests, so does the scent of this rose from Manincor: simply delightful and beguiling at the same time. Delicate fruity notes of fresh raspberries, pomegranate seeds and red currants meet the aromatic lightness of a rhubarb compote with the zest and pulp of blood orange. Beyond the fruit, floral notes of peony and lilac float in the glass, along with hints of tonka bean and vanilla.
Palate:
On the palate, the 2019 La Rose de Manincor from the Tenuta of the same name from Kaltern is more sedate and full-bodied than its bouquet would suggest. However, it does not lose any of its impeccable elegance. It surprises with a steeled body and considerably more spiciness than the floral nose of the wine announced. In a successful symbiosis of vitalizing acidity, expressiveness and seriousness, this bottle is much more than just a pink wine for the terrace.
