Nose
Kiralyudvar remains true to its line and handwriting also in this "Spätlese". Almond and marzipan as well as dried fruits in the form of apricots and dates provide clear tendencies towards patisserie. Apple jam, caramelised quince and baked pears. Banana bread is also found in the glass. Florally, it shows through nuances of apple blossom and elderflower. Yeast dough, brioche and tarte tatin join in seamlessly. Maple syrup comes through clearly. Also forest honey and tea of lime leaves. At the end, it shows an oriental touch with turmeric and saffron.
Palate
Here it shows a nice contrast between melting and freshness. The viscosity is undeniable and leaves a creamy impression. Dense and powerful, it flows over the palate. The aromas are highly concentrated. The acidity counteracts as an asset. The drinking flow is clearly stimulated and the balanced sweetness stands up to the acidity. With tart accents, orange zest and bitter almonds, it is persistent and structured. Aromatically deep without conveying heaviness.
