Out of stock

On the tongue, it literally grabs hold with its cool nature, shows a lot of spice, a fine tart grapefruit note and fantastic length. It was deliberately not harvested with high alcohol levels, so that after the malolactic fermentation, finesse, freshness and elegance can be found.

Info about the wine

The - N - wines are fermented with wild yeasts, not filtered and given maximum freedom. The - N - stands for N-atural, N-o filtration, N-o limits, N-ext Level.

Info about the expansion

Fermented spontaneously in tonneau followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Subsequent storage until the beginning of June on the full lees, clearly drawn off the lees by drop pressure and bottled unfiltered with a small amount of sulphur. It was deliberately not harvested with high alcohol levels so that finesse, freshness and elegance could be found after malolactic fermentation.

Info about the situation

The plot is located in the rear part of the Kieselberg, near the forest. Due to the altitude, cooler structures already have an influence and the slope holds more water for the vines than in the warm eastern part.

Color

Delicately muted medium golden yellow.

Nose

After decanting, the 2020 Riesling Kieselberg "N" reveals a lot of apple, orange zest, grapefruit, pineapple trunk and hints of wild raspberry under the carpet of intense stony minerality. After a longer opening, ginger, coriander and malty notes join in. A wine that already conveys wonderful tension in the nose.

Palate

On the tongue, it literally grabs hold with its cool nature, shows a lot of spice, a fine tart grapefruit note and fantastic length. Still in its infancy at the moment, it will become even more beautiful and complex with a little maturity. A long-distance runner with a long finish. Patience will pay off!

If you want to enjoy it now, you would be well advised to aerate it and use larger Burgundy glasses.
