Info
by Clos Troteligotte aims to be an adventure and draws on the mountaineering myth of K-2 in its. Although it is not the highest mountain in the Himalayas, it is considered by experts to be the most challenging and dangerous.
K-2 is based on 100% Malbec from a single plot. This is located on a plateau with abundant Causse, a limestone rich in iron minerals and iron. The vines are over 30 years old. The yield after manual harvesting is 25hl per hectare.
No sulphur is used during vinification. The grapes are harvested in micro-parcels and vinified separately. A long maceration is followed by gentle extraction. Only natural yeasts are used during the process.
K-2 is allowed to mature in clay amphorae for 12 months.

Dense purple, violet reflections
Nose
On the nose, there is plenty of blackberry, cassis and elderberry. Preserved fruits like plums and berries complement this idea in a pleasant way. Ethereal notes of liquorice, liquorice as well as eucalyptus and mint provide dark and refreshing moments. A pleasant woody spiciness in the form of tree bark and undergrowth spreads. Bitter chocolate as well as bitter almonds stand next to light tobacco leaves and black pepper. Warm leather imparts a balsamic character. Very hearty, honest impression
Palate
Surprisingly, the Malbec opens enormously tight on the palate. The tannin is charged with energy and very fine-grained. For all the presence of the tannin, the fine acid structure is very gripping and its extract sweetness also comes into its own perfectly. It conveys warm and green accents at the same time. However, with all these dark aromas such as chocolate, tobacco, pepper and coffee, it appears enormously dense and at the same time juicy. It skilfully combines this pleasant spiciness with abundant fruit expression. Fleshy in its essence and spiked with good drinking flow. In the finish, the dark fruits and its ethereal nuances come out wonderfully.
