Info about the wine
This grape variety, which is atypical in the region, finds optimal conditions in the almost Mediterranean climate of the Isteiner Kirchberg. It was matured in French oak barrels, 30 of which were % first growth.
Color
Deep violet red, black at the core.
Nose
The 2020 Isteiner Cabernet Sauvignon shows dark fruits of blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrant, mulberry, and plenty of freshness through aromas of wild mint, juniper, rosemary and thyme. With oxygen contact, the beguiling juicy fragrance is perfectly complemented by freshly ground black pepper, wood smoke and tobacco.
Palate
Juicy and charming, it flows over the tongue, the pronounced dark fruit pairs with a present and at the same time ripe tannin. Even in its youthful stage, this Cabernet Sauvignon is pleasantly accessible and charming. Strong dishes with an earthy and spicy character love its accompaniment.
Perfect to enjoy slightly chilled from Bordeaux glasses.
