Nose
The 2019 Improvisacio from Enric Soler opens its bouquet with white flowers and dried herbs. The grape variety Xarel-lo rarely comes over the fruit. This is how jasmine blossom, clove and daisies open up. Above all, orange blossom and orange peel reveal themselves to the patient taster with sufficient airing. Chamomile tea, a little fennel and aniseed have a complementary effect. Delicate hints of grapefruit and nashi pear round off the nose successfully.
Palate
On the palate, Enric Soler clearly shows that his wines are meant for the great cuisine. The Improvisacio seems light-footed, almost weightless. Above all, however, it is carried by a gripping, well-dosed acidity. This conveys esprit and lightness. A light minerality complements this wonderfully. Not a gram of fat too much, pure athleticism. Only a very fine melting completes it. The wine stretches out wonderfully straight into the length. The aromas in the finish now tend more towards fresh pears and lemon zest.
