Brilliant straw yellow with bright green reflections.

Nose

The nose of the 2015 Königsbacher Idig Riesling GG by Steffen Christmann is multilayered with notes of Darjeeling with lemon, herbs, nutshells, chamomile and dried fruits. Malty on the nose, the fruit nuances are very restrained, it shines in youth with tart notes that add seriousness and persistence to its appearance. Absolutely caraffieren, better however a few years in the cellar forget.

Mouth

On the nose, it is firm, punchy and complex on the palate. It's not about fruitiness here, but about structural appearance on a serious stage with emphatic minerality, fine spiciness and a spicy, long finish. The jury sits ready with pencil drawn, taking notes on one of the greatest dry Rieslings in the Palatinate. We remain curious...
