The radiant golden yellow of this wine reflects bright green accents that underline its brilliance.
The 2022 edition of Grüner Veltliner Wagram releases an intense and juicy aroma of apricot, ripe pear, apple and orange. White-flowered blossom honey joins in, perfectly rounded off by a delicate spiciness of fine herbal tones and an underlying hint of white pepper.
The wine presents itself buoyantly light and tastefully juicy refreshing on the palate. Its unpretentious nature, coupled with a moderate alcohol content of only 11.5 vol%, encourages you to treat yourself to an extra glass without a care in the world. Quite clearly - an excellent starter drop, consistent top quality under the Fritsch predicate.
This wine blends perfectly with a harmonious meal, be it with a delicate cress soup with small homemade ricotta dumplings. It also skilfully accompanies crispy chicken fillet strips prepared with firm cucumber vegetables, as well as "trout blue" pepped up with young, steamed potatoes and fresh lettuce. Alternatively, you could enjoy it with a Camembert plate with quince jam or even with oysters with a squeeze of lemon juice.
