Color

rich straw yellow to golden yellow with a delicate green reflex

Nose

In the fragrance the 2019s Steinberg a discreet garden herb note, coriander green as well as some blond tobacco and hay before the fruit becomes present. Yellow and green apples are then found in it alongside a hint of just ripening yellow melon and lemon zest.

Palate

On the palate, the Grüner Veltliner delivers a lot of freshness and at the same time an elegant and fine texture. Here, too, aromas of apples can be found, as well as pears, but also juicy, rather white-fleshed stone fruit. The acidity runs through the fruit in a very pleasantly invigorating way. On top of that, there are garden herb notes here as well, plus a little light pepper, licorice and a tart note of apple and lemon peel. This is very animating especially in the finish.
