Info about the wine
Weingebirge is one of the oldest vineyard names in Europe, first mentioned in 511. The soil consists of loam, loess and paragneiss.
Info about the expansion
The wine is fermented exclusively with the grape's own natural yeast, without the addition of sugar, enzymes, flavour enhancers or pure yeasts, and is drawn into the bottle after five years of storage in large, old wooden barrels on a fruit day in September 2022.
Color
Brilliant golden yellow.
Nose
The 2017 Grüner Veltliner Federspiel "Late Release" scores with juiciness and depth. In addition to ripe apple, pear and quince compote, we encounter honey, roasted walnuts, latte and intense herbs reminiscent of rosemary and thyme.
Palate
Juiciness also awaits us on the palate, freshness and mineral saltiness in full concentration, accompanied by a fine tannin and a wonderful length. Formidable food companion that scores with finesse, creaminess and invigorating acidity. A wine with a lively and youthful expression that is already wonderful to enjoy at the moment and has storage potential for the next few years.
