Weingebirge is one of the oldest vineyard names in Europe, first mentioned in 511. The soil consists of loam, loess and paragneiss.
The wine is produced without the addition of sugar, enzymes, flavour enhancers and
Pure cultured yeasts fermented exclusively with the grape's own natural yeast and drawn into the bottle on a fruit day in April after six months of storage in large, old wooden barrels.
Delicate golden yellow.
The 2021 Grüner Veltliner Federspiel shows an herbaceous impression as well as notes of kumquats, apple, quince and walnut. Even in its youthful stage, one could sink into its fragrance.
On the palate, it surprises with juicy richness, creamy impression and an invigorating acidity. A great, extremely drinkable wine and food companion, as we are used to from the Nikolaihof.
