Color
The wine presents itself in deep red purple with violet rim and opaque core clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
Precise and yet with an attractive and promising impetuousness, the first nose of this Catalan cuvée of Grenache Noir, Carignan Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself. Blueberries, wild strawberries and sour cherries form a fruity base for the play of the following spice. Green pepper and the aroma of raw red meat directly stimulate the appetite. Hungarian paprika powder, mustard seeds and allspice instantly make you think about the food served with the wine.
Palate
On the palate, the 2017 Gotes del Priorat from Portal del Priorat presents itself with the charisma of an Al Pacino as Frank Slade in "The Scent of Women". Its dark berry fruit takes up space, yet remains fresh and does not capsize into jamminess. The wine finds balance through its invigorating acidity married with firm yet integrated tannin. This gives structure and body without losing finesse.
