Nose
The Cuvée Théo from the »Clos des Capucins" is an example for the fact that Gewürztraminer, despite all its power, can also be wonderfully elegant and, despite the 14 % alcohol and 21 grams of residual sugar, also appear slender. The bouquet of roses and lychee, a little nutmeg and stone is always on the light and fresh side. It is a solid elegance that flows out of the glass.
Mouth
On the palate, the spice then becomes more concise, the nutmeg note more carrying, the wine more lush, and yet it always remains clear and precise even with warmth. Equipped with a fine tannin and the typical spice, the Gewürztraminer is always piquant, rather juicy and fruity than sweet, also rather bright and lively than heavy. This is decidedly successful.
