Info:
Bodegas Attis is located in the Val do Salnes. One of the sub-regions with the finest terroir in the Galician Rias Baixas.
Color:
Rich golden yellow, bright reflections
Nose:
The glass exudes a fruity-tropical aroma. Not at all kitschy, but rather delicate and cool, but just exotic. Litchi and pineapple, a little orange and orange blossom. A thought of apple tart and pecan comes up. In the background stony-cool nuances as well as cardamom.
Palate:
On the palate, the Albariño is much more restrained. The stony-cool impression from the nose pushes itself into the foreground and dominates the mouthfeel. One could speak of minerality here. The exotic fruit gives way to caramelized quince and pear. Dry and clear on the palate with a present spiciness in the finish.
Food recommendations by Marian Henß:
- Breaded cod, tagliatelle in mushroom cream sauce
(Fish)
- Medallions of Duroc pork, creamed savoy cabbage, duchess potatoes
(Meat)
- Roasted porcini mushrooms, potato-leek vegetables, parmesan cheese
(Vegetable & Vegetarian)
