Info

The wine grows on sand and gravel in the site Steinbach and is declared as 1st site STK. This is the only wine in the Tement winery that is aged in steel tanks. All other wines are matured in wooden barrels of various sizes. Armin Tement justifies this with his personal attitude towards this wine and the best possible treatment. Armin Tement also describes the Steinbach Gelber Muskateller in the site area as one of the highest quality wines in the winery.

Color

Brilliant straw yellow, golden reflections.

Nose

According to all expectations, the nose is intensely aromatic. Lemongrass, mint and kaffir lime emerge for me. But this in a Tement elegance and restraint. So not intrusive, loud or superficial, but serious, deep and persistent. Something cool to dark also comes to light. This nose captivates me enormously and draws me into its spell for minutes.

Palate

On the palate, the impression of the Far Eastern flavors is repeated. The expression is still clearly more restrained than initially suspected. This realization puts me in a very positive mood and gives me an idea of the greatness of this wine. It shows itself very stony, cool and subtle. This stillness and depth in the wine create admiration and great pleasure at the same time. At the same time, the finish presents a very pronounced yellow fruit, reminiscent of ripe mirabelle plums, with a fine extract that lingers long on the palate. With not a gram of sugar too much, this Muskateller grabs you noticeably. A Muskateller that was harvested almost 5 years ago and is so dewy and full of life in the glass today does not come along very often. The maturity potential is still enormous, so that I give the wine another 8-10 years easily, tendency rising.
