Fuoripista Pinot Grigio Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2020

The Fuoripista is an exceptional Pinot Gris. It is the result of the collaboration between Foradori and Marco Devigili, a biodynamic winemaker from Campo Rotaliano. The Fuoripista is meant to express the true essence of the variety and of Trentino as the home of the widespread grape variety. Grown on the alluvial and gravelly soils of Campo Rotaliano, it was harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously and left on the skins in tinajas for eight months, perfectly bringing out the delicate character of the Pinot Grigio. It was then aged in used acacia barrels before going on sale. The average annual production is 10,000 bottles.

Bright cherry red with light rusty reflections.

The nose is literally bursting with red apple skin and fully ripe cherries and is accompanied by tart aromas of cranberry and fresh herbal tea. In addition, there are notes of fresh sourdough bread crust and mild spices such as mace and white pepper. The 2020 Fuoripista Pinot Grigio of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti by Foradori exudes enormous calm and balance, at the same time the wine seems exceptionally sharply contoured, which is not a matter of course with this grape variety.

The mild acidity is supported by the fine, tart phenolic, reminiscent of cranberry juice, which gives it a stimulating length. Perfectly dressed with an extract-rich fruity core and silky texture on the palate, it is aromatically expansive with a distinctive ripeness and autumnal nature.
