Info about the wine
The wines from the "Fuori" series are always the most outstanding of the respective vintage. Wines rich in finesse in quantitatively small quantities.
Info about the situation
Volcanic origin with a lot of quartzite slate, loamy, sandy soil, relatively shallow.
Info about the expansion
Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel for one week, 10 months on the fine lees in concrete, bottling without filtration and fining, 26 months bottle ageing.
Color
Muted garnet red with mahogany lightening towards the rim.
Nose
Much originality and depth shows this beautiful Merlot already in the nose. Dark earth, chimney smoke, grilled meat, roasted almonds, walnuts and freshly ground black pepper make the start. Notes of black plum jam, dried figs, blackberries and sloe join in with oxygen. Noble dark bitter chocolate and a breath of truffle beguile the connoisseur.
Palate
The attack is fresh, gripping and mineral, then the demanding and at the same time ripe tannic structure joins in. Much saltiness and grip on the tongue, much juicy dark fruit, a long finish. Very good maturity and storage potential!
