Color
The wine presents itself in translucent ruby red with garnet rim clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
Although initially extremely closed, this Baden Pinot Noir makes a fragrant start. At first very gentle and with time in the large Burgundy glass more and more expressive and pointed. Floral aromas of violets, lilacs and poppies lead us to the edge of the forest to pick berries. Blackberries, blueberries, wild strawberries. A discreetly nutty, resinous scent of pine cones together with the spice of white pepper and black truffle. In addition a breath of cocoa shell.
Palate
Delicate, crystal clear and with the delicacy of tissue paper, it comes across. The 2019 Riegelberg Pinot Noir from Forgeurac is fleshy and has a fine-grained, close-knit structure. It has pressure on the palate, is aroma-intensive and diverse as well as expressive. However, it is not a show-off. It manages all this without having to be loud. Its power lies in its calmness. A formidable example of first-class sound quality at low volume.
Absolutely still hide in the cellar. It already tastes delicious today, but has only found its center in four to five years.
