Info
The Jimenez-Landi winery manages the olive groves of Finca Torralva organically. The olive oil is a cuvée of the two varieties Hojiblanca and Ocal.
Color
Bright golden yellow, dense
Nose
Finca Torralva by Jiménez-Landi is dense, spicy and concentrated on the nose. Hay, dried herbs such as marjoram and oregano as well as freshly mown grass in midsummer are revealed. Flower meadow and herb garden combined. Red and beige flowers stand next to lemon balm, rosemary and thyme. Nettle grows as a weed next to it. A little lime peel and tangerine skin. The olive is fully ripe, juicy and deep green. White pepper smells spicy and complementary. Yellow fruits such as mirabelle and khaki sound very discreet.
Palate
On the palate, Finca Torralva is initially pleasantly mild with a delicate melt. The aromas of the herbs in all stages of ripeness come through wonderfully. The pepper spiciness comes to the fore without burdening the mouthfeel with unnecessary spiciness. The spicy note is well dosed and now shows red pepper as well as the white. Overall, it performs very well and evenly. At high intensity, it shows a medium bitter note in the finish. Very well balanced. The spiciness is also only minimally evident in the finish.
