Info about the situation
Ferus is a single vineyard cuvée with grapes from the best vineyards Reiterpfad, Mäushöhle,
Herrgottsacker and an old parcel from 1982 in the Ruppertsberg Nussbien.
Color
Shimmering lemon yellow with clear green reflexes.
Nose
The 2019 Ferus is characterised by a distinctive, smoky minerality that overlays its extremely fresh aromas of green apple, lime and citrus. Herbal notes of basil, lemon balm and ginger are also present, further emphasising its freshness. A complex and multi-layered Riesling that is exceedingly beguiling and looks forward to the carafe to unfold its full beauty.
Palate
Wonderful explosion on the palate, lots of citrus, salty minerality, pleasantly tart impression, the saliva flows, all senses are stimulated and enlivened in the finest way. An extremely lively wine that appears youthful and is just beginning to open up beautifully.
