Wine information

90 % Sciaccarellu and 10 % Barbarossa from different parcels from an area of about 18 hectares. The vineyard is characterised by granite and lies at an altitude of around 100 metres. The grapes are harvested with a yield of around 25 hl/ha. It is harvested by hand in the early morning, destemmed and pressed directly. There is a slow fermentation at 18 °C after a cool pre-fermentation and after the natural settling of the lees. This is followed by ageing in stainless steel for 5 months. No malolactic fermentation, no fining, light filtration.

Nose

The Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rosé shows a fruity fresh side and at the same time a serious and spicy one. The intense coloured wine smells of blood oranges with peel, of peaches, apricots and even plums, but also of a hint of pepper, maquis and lime.

Palate

On the palate, the Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rosé is a decidedly straightforward and precise representative of its trade. The red berry fruit appears crisp and fresh and is supported by acidic citrus notes. This is a wine that offers freshness, but also a pleasant grip. It has little to do with primarily fruity wines of this colour. It literally searches for the right companions to give the summer day the right drive and to combine the lively acidity, the minerality and the fine spiciness with the right food.
