Planetes “Garnatxes” 2020

Wine information
The origin of this Garnacha goes back to the idyllic location of the Finca Les Planetes Porrera, which extends over four hectares. Through a natural fermentation process and careful ageing over seven months in cellar amphorae, each holding 700 and 1,100 litres, the wine reaches the bottles untreated.

Color
A unique shimmer of slightly cloudy purple distinguishes this wine.

Scent
This Garnacha beguiles with an intense and exciting aroma. The main actors are sugar-sweet blueberries, blackberries and last but not least juicy sour cherries, a seductive and wonderfully lively fragrance. The bouquet is rounded off by dark, wild floral aromas paired with a hint of rosemary, thyme, juniper and lilac. When young, there is a hint of earthy, smoky and peppery notes, but these become more prominent with time. Currently, the wine shines with its youthful freshness and the intensity of the fruit aromas.

Taste
The palate is presented with a wonderful freshness that combines with a fine saltiness and an invigorating acidity. Thanks to the grippy, smooth tannin, it makes you want to empty the bottle on the spot. It is an excellent accompaniment to dishes with both sweet and sour notes. When slightly chilled in a generous glass, it unfolds its full potential.

Excellent accompaniments include: Wild mushroom tartlets with port wine pear, venison medallions with blackberries and potato-parsley root puree or marinated leg of lamb with roasted broccoli and pomegranates.
