Color
The wine is bright lemon yellow with silvery reflections clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
Already the first nose lets the mouth watering, palate pleasure foreshadow and proudly reveals what fine material this wine is made of. Frivolous and teasing, the nose is invited to follow through the royal maze. Native scents of meadow orchards reveal themselves in the splendour of the different seasons. A juicy yellow apple is temptingly courted by passion fruit, ripe pineapple and gooseberry compote. The sweetness suggesting notes of Turkish honey and cotton candy are refreshed by flavours of crisp rhubarb, lemon zest and Kaffir lime leaves.
Palate
Juicy and caressing the palate with an oily melt, the 2018 Enkircher Ellergrub Riesling Auslese from Weiser-Künstler glides down the same. Creamy and filling the palate, the wine wins all along the line when it comes to bringing vibrant joy to the glass. With a concentrated load of fruit and the ability to fan it out in several spectrums and facets, the Auslese shines with crystalline aromatics. The racy, cisiling acidity and profound fruit give the wine, with all its sweetness, a unique freshness and immense pull on the palate.
