Description of the wine
This handsome composition of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano is a charming cuvée.
Expansion procedure
A spontaneous fermentation in generous wooden barrels and cement tanks, followed by a twelve-month maturation period before the final bottling, characterises the creation process.
Color
With a covered cherry red colour that is almost black at its core and complemented with intriguing purple reflections, this vintage wine presents itself.
Bouquet
The fair of aromas on the nose takes us through dark orchards, full of black cherries, blackberries, rowan berries and cassis. As a counterpart to this rich fruit intensity, green, tart accents emerge, sparking associations of red pepper, rosemary, juniper and wild sage. At the same time, a feminine touch of roses and violets provides a charming playfulness and structured versatility.
Taste
On the palate, it presents a juicy youthfulness and a sparkling interplay of tannin and acid structures woven into the dark berry as well as spiciness. When cooled slightly, it pairs beautifully with intense flavours and a variety of grilled dishes. It is amazing how a wine of such high quality can be offered at an affordable price.
Food carrier
The food suggestions that could go with this wine are many: perhaps a grilled stuffed green pepper filled with couscous, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes; or what about a hearty leg of lamb accompanied by bean vegetables and chorizo? Not to mention a succulent suckling pig with a side of grilled aubergines also offers a great combination option.
