Info
With the Petit Ours Blanc in 2020, the Domaine du Coulet fills an assemblage of 50% Roussane, 40% Marsanne and 10% Viognier. All the classic white grape varieties of the region are thus used.
Color
Bright rich lemon yellow with green reflections
Nose
The nose is varied and intense. White pepper, flint and some smoke make a brilliant start. Ripe yellow fruits like mirabelles, pears, quinces and pineapple are found in abundance. The fruits appear both in raw form and candied. A little green tea and fresh hay underlay the fruit with a pleasant green base. The pepper spice keeps coming through. Aniseed and fennel can be detected in the background. A little almond and beeswax finally round it off.
Palate
On the palate, it is ambivalent. On the one hand, it is full in the glass with plenty of pressure and a high concentration of fruit. It is warm and inviting. On the other hand, it is clear, polished and pure. A very good balance of density and precision. The yellow fruits leave clear footprints. The smoky hints are only subtle on the finish.
