Color
Intense golden yellow, fine mousseaux
Nose
Rarely do wines smell like grapes. The Donauriesling grape juice is not a wine, but at least it smells intensely of its product of origin. Besides ripe, juicy grapes, which shine through a lot of concentration, there is also a little abrasion of limes. This is wonderfully rounded off by a little ripe, yellow stone fruit as well as yellow apples.
Palate
It definitely delivers what it promises on the nose. It feels like biting into a fully ripe grape. Subtle phenolics from the grape skins add decent richness and texture to the mouthfeel. The mousseaux makes it feel creamy and rich on the palate. The grapey flavors experience freshness from citrus notes. The sweetness-acidity play is ingeniously set and makes mood. A very good alternative against the thirst.
