Nose
The grapes for this wine come from 80 year old Cariñena vines. Dits del Terra. Dominik Huber seems to succeed in harmonizing ripeness, juiciness and mineral freshness in an almost playfully easy way. The nose already testifies to this, showing dark wild berry fruit, liquorice, juniper and garrigue as well as a hint of oxidation, but at the same time underpinned with notes of cool stone.
Mouth
Juicy, dark, seductive and with enormous drinking flow shows the Dits del Terra on the palate. And this is what always makes the greatness of Huber's wines - the successful combination of complexity and density on the one hand with the clear acidity that animates drinking and the fine but always present extract on the other hand. Here, with the Cariñena, the dark fruit with the herbal notes does the rest to find the wine irresistible even at a young age.
