Nose
The Riesling from the Deidesheim Leinhöhle is anything but conventional. The nose is reminiscent of juicy mirabelles, chamomile blossoms, tangerine skin and a little ginger. Likewise, a bit of oyster shell, a subtle maritime tone and lemon zest develop in the glass. Fresh garden herbs can also be sensed in the glass. Expressive, but very coherent in itself. This sensory impression conveys an extremely exciting moment and holds a high expectation.
Palate
And it lives up to these high expectations. It seamlessly follows up on the sensory impression. On the palate, it shows a very demanding feel. Cool, stony and clear at the same time. The yellow nuances of mirabelle, ginger and camomile fade into the background, leaving the big stage to the maritime and lemony aromas. An exciting finish marked by sprawling flavors nails itself to the palate for a long time. Full of depth and longevity.
The 2019 Leinhöhle -N- really delivers. Great price-pleasure ratio.
