Information
A cuvée of Grenache and Carignan. Actually, it is not even Grenache rouge, but mainly the Grenache variant Lledoner Pelut. The grapes come from old vines from the slate soil around Calce in Roussillon. Whole cluster fermentation took place, ageing in cement, neutral wood and clay. No addition of additives.
Color
transparent bright cherry red
Nose
The Romanissa cuvée From the first moment, it delivers a scent of wild growth, as it were, in which flowers, a little fruit, and above all notes and tones of the countryside set the tone. The wine takes you back to its origins. Garrigue, sun-dried earth and dry, almost smoky undergrowth, red berries, cherries, even sour cherries. In general, the wine seems like one from the south, but it lacks the density and often also heaviness of comparable wines. Instead, it is without a doubt a Tom Lubbe wine with clarity, transparency, freshness and a light aroma of aroma hops.
Palate
On the palate, it continues fresh and juicy, as one could expect. You can't help but keep drinking, such is the flow and freshness. Sour berries, cherry juice and sour cherries dominate, and there is also a gin-like herbal infusion. In addition, there is a lot of cool stone, a fine, almost subtle tannin structure as well as a clear, lively and tonic acidity with a rounding off by slightly tart flavours that provide the final kick. .
